The interview
Interview w/ Whitney Horning, Author of “Joseph Smith Revealed: A Faithful Telling”
Published on the Hemlock Knots channel on YouTube. The video plays here but is stored by YouTube.
The book
Joseph Smith Revealed: A Faithful TellingExploring an Alternate Polygamy Narrative
By Whitney Horning · independently published · also available as an Audible audio edition
The author’s own title says what the book sets out to do: tell Joseph Smith’s story faithfully, from the documents, and work through an alternate narrative of his practice of plural marriage. It is the book the interview above is about, so the two are best read together — the interview gives the author’s own account of why he wrote it and what he found in the records.
This short note is written from the book’s listing title and subtitle. I could not read the publisher’s full description from the listing, so nothing here is invented beyond that. Send me the listing’s description and I’ll replace this paragraph with a proper summary.
